Your transactions, matched to your receipts
Today, ReceiptBay keeps the receipts you add. Next, we're working on bringing your card and bank transactions into the same place, so each purchase sits next to its itemized receipt when one is available.
What we're building next
Next on our list
Connect your bank and card accounts
Would show card and bank transactions alongside your receipts. Optional and off unless you turn it on.
Forward email receipts
Forward a receipt email to your ReceiptBay address and it's added to your inbox with its line items.
Match transactions to receipts
Would match your transactions to itemized receipts when a receipt is available.
At the pump
A possible future flow — not available yet
Pay at the pump
Fuel stop
The charge could appear in ReceiptBay
Card transaction
Snap or forward the receipt
A pump payment can show a temporary hold until the station settles the final amount.
Store connections & accounting export
Bring in itemized receipts from stores you shop at, and export to accounting software
Store account connections
Email forwarding is coming first. Next, we plan to let you upload order-history files you download yourself, and we're exploring connections to supported store accounts for itemized receipts. Supported stores and features will vary and may change.
We're researching which connections to build first and how to do it safely, respecting both your privacy and retailers' terms. No store connections are live yet, and we won't name a store as available until its connection is tested and approved. Connections will refresh periodically, not continuously, and may sometimes ask you to sign in again.
How it would work:
Forward or import
Forward email receipts or upload an order-history file from a store
Connect supported stores
Link a store account where we support it, only after it's tested and approved
One itemized inbox
More of your purchases, with line items where the store provides them, in one place
Accounting export
Export your receipts and line items for bookkeeping: CSV first, then QuickBooks Online and Xero. We're modeling it on how bookkeepers already work: each receipt, with its image attached, linked to the transaction that's already in your books from your bank feed, instead of creating a duplicate expense, and with duplicate checks across sources.
Export isn't available yet. When it is, you'll control what gets exported and where it goes. Not tax or bookkeeping advice. QuickBooks and Xero are trademarks of their respective owners; ReceiptBay isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
For small businesses
Tools we're exploring for businesses and their bookkeepers. The free inbox already works for business receipts.
Missing-receipt report
Charges that still need a receipt, listed in one place.
Vendor name cleanup
Messy card descriptors shown as one clean vendor name, with the original kept.
Recurring charges
Spot repeating charges like software subscriptions, and note who owns each one and what it's for.
Monthly snapshot
A monthly summary of spending, including subscriptions.
What we're researching first
Starting with lower-risk, user-controlled options
Upload order history
Export your order history from a store and upload it to ReceiptBay
Browser extension for supported stores
We're exploring a browser extension that could read your order history while you're logged in to a supported store's site, on your own computer. Only after legal review.
Note: Email forwarding is first in line (see Planned above). These other options put you in control—you choose what to share, and nothing connects without your permission. We're working through the technical and legal details before we build any of them.
Later, with your permission
Ideas that depend on partnerships, consent, and privacy safeguards
Point-of-sale partners
Merchants could send receipts directly when you shop in-store
E-receipt networks
Connect to existing electronic receipt delivery services
Line-item price comparison
Compare prices you paid with what others saw at different stores
Alerts for unusual charges
Get notified when a charge looks unexpected based on your patterns
Note: These depend on partnerships, consent, and careful data-rights work. We'll only build them in ways that keep your data private and keep you in control of what's shared.
Roadmap items aren't available yet and may change. Any new connection will be optional and off until you turn it on.
